With my first baby,I used to list and relist all the things the baby needs on paper. With my other two,I recycled the list scratching out things I already have or things that are not really necessary to say the least. So when we go shopping,I have this crumpled paper with me all the time. But thank God for technology, you can leave all that paper list behind.I came upon this cute app because it's on price drop. From 0.99 to FREE.For moms-to-be,this app can really help sorting out your lists because sometimes, this part can be mind-boggling and time-consuming.This app is grouped by 10 categories and over 70 items are provided. All you have to do is tap the boxes to check and uncheck items you need.Check this app on the App store and say hello to hassle-free baby shopping. :)

5 Tips to Healthier Baby Teeth

According to a recent poll on Babytalk.com,only about 6 percent of moms diligently wipe their babies' teeth and gums with a wet wash cloth to get rid of food particles. That's like a small percentage when tooth cavities in children are on the rise.To keep our kids' teeth gleaming, here are tricks on how to take care of them.

1.Brushing routine. One goal is to routinely wipe them once or even twice a day. Some kids need a little getting used to.And routine teeth cleaning minimizes screams of protest.

2.Better brushing. When baby sprouts a tooth or more,it's time to ditch the damp washcloth and go for a small toothbrush with soft bristles. And clean all surfaces including the gum line.

3.Using toothpaste. You don't need toothpaste until your child turns two. Before that age, brushing with water will suit just fine. But if your toddler wants to feel grownup,a kiddie flouride-free toothpaste will do.

4.Dental Check-Ups.Experts highly recommend taking your child to the dentist at the age of 1.But you could also ask your child's pediatrician to check on his chompers if you could not get to a dentist around this time.

Macrohon Fish Sanctuary

After some time of being cooped up at home because of the unpredictable weather,I asked my mom to babysit Korby for a while.I have been planning some time now to go out with hubby and the two older kids to the Macrohon Fish Sanctuary not very far from where we live.We have been putting that plan aside every weekend because for some weird reason, the weather gets really rainy on weekends regardless of the bright and sunny weekdays.I thought of bringing our youngest but dismiss the idea thinking that he might accidentally jump off the ledge. That Sunday, the weather promised of a warm day up ahead but when we had to really leave, like we were literally at the door,it began to drizzle.I was muttering under my breath because I promised the kids.So I bundled the kids up with their caps and all and went anyway, rain or shine. It was a short ride and when we arrived, the kids were running all over the place.I reminded hubby that we had to pay first for the entrance fee.10 pesos for adults and 5 pesos for kids. And off we went to the makeshift structure for fish feeding, walking through a rickety bridge. My legs were shaking.Lol.On the way,a strong gust of wind blew Kliven's cap off.I could see my toddler panicking because that was his favorite cap.I figured out there was no way we could fish his cap off the sea and no one wanted to dive for it and get wet on that cold afternoon.Kliven was scowling when we finally arrived at the place where you feed the fishes.I made a mental note for a new cap.Meanwhile,I frowned at the structure because it obviously needed a good fix. There were a few people there and I was thinking what if the structure would give in and collapse.Shrugging at the thought,I gave Khym the pieces of bread that we bought at the store and he started to feed the fishes. My kids shrieked with delight as the fishes feed below us.As I looked around,I observed that this area has an abundant marine life with plenty of fish and virgin coral reefs. No wonder it's now becoming a tourist attraction. But they have to fix the place though. The last thing they might want is some tourist falling off.Hehe.We lingered awhile eating chips and observing the fishes and went home at 4 pm.On the way, another glitch. My Havaianas strap broke and I thought of myself limping on the way through that unstable bridge. My hubby saved me as always by wounding up the broken strap with a wire to temporarily hold it.:) I wore that pair for 3 years and it was good as new.I guess it just gave up.Oh well..It was a great weekend and Kliven blabbered about the "shishes" all week.:)

Instaprint for Instagram

Being an avid Instagram user,I've always wanted my photos to just magically spit out of my mobile device just like a Polaroid camera would.I think it would be great to bring that functionality on Instagram.

As any wishful thinking, dreams do come true. There is now an answered prayer to all our Instagram demands.Meet INSTAPRINT ,a mobile photo booth that prints your Instagram photos Polaroid style.Instaprint is created by a Brooklyn-based company called Breakfast. So how does it work?It actually connects to your mobile device via wifi and prints your photos. The cool thing is that you never have to worry about running out of ink when printing your photos because with Instaprint, all the color is pulled from the special photo paper made for the device. Here's what it looks like.

I don't know if it's available in most countries though. But they can be rented out for events. As of the moment,Breakfast is raising funds through Kickstarter for mass production. While Instaprint made its appearances on special events, the people at Breakfast is looking for a larger audience. So that's something to look forward to.
